This is my final round up from our honeymoon on Lanai (insert crying emoji)! I don’t get to relive this trip with y’all anymore, but I appreciate you being on this journey with me. It’s been fun! Can you believe I’m not wearing a puffy sleeve? Somehow every other outfit I packed incorporated this trend. Cleary I like it! This dress is by one of my new favorite designers, and unfortunately, it’s almost sold out. BUT next to dresses, I linked ten of my other favorites from this line, so check them out! There are casual dresses all the way to cocktail – something for all your needs. I think you’re going to love them too!

P.S. Look at the lobby of our hotel! Isn’t it stunning? I hope we make it back one day!

Ta ta for now! XO, MS

Hawaii Look #4

| dress others: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 | headband | earrings | espadrilles | bag: 1, 2, 3, 4 |

Hello from Hawaii again! Today, I’m sharing my fourth look of the trip and what might be my favorite. It’s hard for me to resist a puffy sleeve, as you can tell from my last three honeymoon looks. I love this dress for many reasons, but I really appreciate when a piece can be worn a variety of ways. I can wear this with a dressy heel and clutch for a summer wedding or dress it down with a pair of sneakers and my hair in a ponytail. Your options are endless with a piece like this! Check out the other dresses I love from this brand that I linked above.

These shoes have been another favorite spring/summer purchase of mine, and they’ve clearly been a favorite of y’alls. I love seeing how many of you have purchased them! Aren’t they comfortable?! And they for sure go with everything! If you haven’t tried these, you should.

Thanks for stopping by and for supporting this little side gig of mine! When you purchase through my links, I make a small commission. Much appreciated! XO, MS

Hawaii Look #3

If I could go back to this day, I would! We were about to set sail on the Four Seasons’ beautiful catamaran for a sunset cruise around Lanai. One thing Henry and I were so impressed with and continue to talk about was the service we experienced while on the island. Every single person that we came in contact with who worked for the resort was so incredibly happy to be there and to help us with anything we may have needed. Yes, Henry and I enjoyed the scenery and being on the boat, but we also enjoyed getting to know the captain and the deckhands. What fun they were to be around and how cool it was to learn about their island life. The service definitely made our trip!

Note, I wore my hair in a braid to keep the wispies out of my face and wore shorts to make sure I didn’t have a Marilyn moment! In retrospect, I’m glad I made both choices.

Thanks for reliving our honeymoon with me! XO, MS

Bridesmaids Luncheon

| earrings | slip | headband: 1, 2, 3, 4 | ribbon | heels |

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.

I am loving reliving our wedding weekend through the pictures family, friends and our photographer took. I got to wear my great grandmother’s wedding dress for my bridesmaids luncheon – an heirloom piece that was purchased in Paris in the 1890s. It has now been worn by my aunt and cousin too, and I can’t wait to see who wears it next. It was extra special for me because I was named after my great grandmother, Mary Sanford Myatt, who wore this in September of 1934. I made this dress my own by adding a blue velvet ribbon and of course, a headband. Light blue was a theme throughout the wedding, so I loved tying it in here too.

I wish I could get this group of girls together every weekend – love them!

Sharing more soon. XO, MS

Hawaii Look #1

| blouse | shorts | earrings | headband | clutch | heels: tall & short |

What a week in Hawaii! Henry and I are ready to go back to Lanai asap. It was the most relaxing and serene place – the perfect spot to wind down after a busy wedding season. I’m excited to show you some of the outfits I wore both in Hawaii and throughout the wedding weekend, but first, let me tell you about some of the things we did.

We rode the Four Seasons’ catamaran twice. Once for a sunset cruise and another time for a snorkeling adventure. We loved getting to see the island from a different perspective and of course, being on the water on such a beautiful boat. We also hiked a couple of times, got massages and ate way too much food. I made a few new friends too – an octopus and two parrots. If you get the chance to visit Lanai, Henry and I highly recommend it!

Before I left Dallas for the wedding and honeymoon, I splurged on this printed blouse from a local boutique. I paired it back to these easy white shorts, my favorite pearl accessories and my go-to gold bow heels. These heels truly go with everything!! Every single one of the pieces I’m wearing can be worn a variety of ways, so if you’re looking to add a couple of items to your spring and summer wardrobe, I suggest these.

Thanks for stopping by! I look forward to sharing more with you.

Floral Romper

| romper | sandals: here & here | headband | earrings | bag | necklace: save & splurge |

What a fun weekend I had with my girls! We met at the beach for my bachelorette, and although it rained the majority of the weekend, we still had a blast. We ate delicious meals at fun restaurants along 30A, played hilarious games and spent as much time outside as we could. One of my favorite parts was getting to see my home and college friends get to know each other. I can’t wait to be with them again in just one short month for the wedding day!

I wore this floral romper for dinner Saturday night at Cafe Thirty-A and one last hurrah at an old dive bar called AJ’s. It’s incredibly comfortable, and I love the open back. I tied the sash in the front, but you could definitely tie it in the back as well. This is such a fun piece for spring and summer, and I can’t wait to wear it again on our honeymoon. Don’t forget you can shop my entire look using the links above.

I hope you have a great week! XO, MS

Floral blouse + headband

| top: here & here | jeans | espadrilles | headband | earrings | sunglasses | bag |

It’s funny because I used to never wear florals or busy prints other than stripes, and now I can’t stop buying them! I love that this top is slightly cropped so that it sits nicely at the top of high waisted jeans and my most narrow point. I find that shorter blouses are more flattering on my body type than those that hit at the top of the thigh. Style tip: if you have a smaller waist and bigger bum/thigh area, try out a shorter top to accentuate your waist. If you don’t have a shorter option, front tuck a blouse into a high waisted jean to give the same effect. Let me know if you try this out and like it!

Have a great Tuesday! XO, MS

White Spring Dresses

| white dresses: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 | espadrilles | headband | earrings |

Like I’ve mentioned before, white dresses have been on my mind. With our wedding fast approaching, I’ve purchased a few for different events we’ve had throughout our engagement. I wore this one last weekend to a tea in Memphis with sweet friends and family. I love the detailing and the way it fits, and although it’s sold out, I found a few similar options for you.

I am also wearing two pieces that were made by friends! How cool is it that I get to share some of their creations!! The headband was handmade by a friend I went to high school with. She has started her own hairstyling and hair accessory company that you must check out – click here. I’m also wearing earrings designed by a dear friend who started her jewelry company as a young girl. What a business she has built. Shop her beautiful pieces here.

Of course, you don’t have to be a bride to incorporate a beautiful white dress to your spring and summer wardrobe! I plan on wearing this to church and even on our honeymoon.

I hope you have a great rest of your week! XO, MS

Medium wash straight leg jeans

| top | vests: 1, 2, 3 | jeans | loafers: 1, 2, 3 | headband |

Everyone has their go-to pairs of jeans. The ones that are the most comfortable, you feel the best in and are super soft from all the washes. These are one of mine. Y’all see me wearing the lighter washed distressed version of these often, but for whatever reason, I haven’t shared these much. I used to only wear skinny jeans, but after introducing the straight leg into my wardrobe, they have quickly become a staple. I feel like the straight leg is the skinny jean’s casual cousin. The skinny is still my go-to when dressing up, but there is something great about a straight leg jean, a cozy sweater and sneakers or loafers. Effortless yet still put together. I recommend trying a straight leg if you haven’t already!

Thanks for stopping by, and as always, recreate my look by shopping the links above!

Styled Spring Looks #2

Just in case you needed a little spring inspo on this Monday morning! After a week of freezing temps, we now have beautiful sunny and 75 degree weather here in Dallas. That’s Texas for you! I’m over layers and snow boots and ready to move into sandals and sundresses. I decided to style a few spring looks to get you ready for the warmer weather ahead! Many of these pieces can be transitioned from winter to spring just depending on how you style them. Have fun shopping!

I’d also love these two tops paired with white jeans – another easy way to brighten up a winter to spring look.

| dress: 1 & 2 | heels | bag: 1 & 2 | earrings: 1 & 2 |

Pastels scream spring, and these dresses are no different! Of course you can dress them both down with a flat sandal and denim jacket.

I love a beige or ivory jean as opposed to a white jean. These are a great way to add another neutral pair to your closet without them being white or a light wash.
