Happy Sunday, friends! I hope you’re a little warmer than we are here in Chicago, and the snow just keeps falling.
It’s been a minute since I shopped at Zara, but this sweater is a cozy classic I couldn’t pass up. Name something more timeless than navy and white stripes! It’s a great piece that will transition well into the spring too. I’m picturing the sweater with white jeans and an espadrille or maybe a sneaker, and layer a denim jacket on top if you need it. Of course, things sell out quickly at Zara, but I did find the exact sweater on eBay in many sizes. Snag it while it’s still available. I also purchased this one too!

I love adding special pieces to my wardrobe – pieces that you can’t find everywhere and ones that not everyone already has. This plaid top is by Andion Clothing, a Spanish line I discovered awhile back. I chose the blouse style and then chose the pattern I wanted in that style. I’m definitely not a designer or creative enough to design something from scratch, but this process allowed me to create something perfect for my wardrobe. You can head to their website or Instagram and choose a piece you will love. You can also shop Andion tops at Bunny and Babe – just give them a call!
I styled the Andion plaid top with these colored jeans I’ve worn with so much this fall and winter. I then accessorized with this shearling headband (I can’t get enough of shearling) and an ivory bootie. The booties I’m wearing here could use a trip to the shoe doctor, so I linked a pair that I’ve been eyeing.
P.S. Yes, I was freezing when taking these photos. There is snow on the ground and the temperature was in the 20’s, but there was no other way to show you my new favorite top. Oops!

Can you believe that Thanksgiving is here?! The time between Thanksgiving and Christmas is my favorite part of the year. There is so much joy, anticipation and family time! We are headed to Houston to be with Henry’s family, and I’m so excited to be back in the south for a little bit.
I wore this dress last week in Palm Beach, and I think it’s going to be my Thanksgiving dress too. It’s too cold to wear a short dress in Chicago, so I’ll take any chance I can get to show a little leg. Wouldn’t this be so cute with cowboy boots and a denim vest or jacket?! This pattern also comes in a fabulous blouse and jacket if that’s more your speed.
I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving! XO, MS

These heels are just waiting for a party! Have you checked out Nicola Bathie’s collaboration with Antonio Melani for Dillard’s? Well, it’s filled with everything you may need for the holidays including these heels, sparkly dresses and festive accessories! I wore them this past weekend for a rehearsal dinner, and I was impressed with how comfortable they were. The platform definitely makes a difference. You can also get these heels in black and emerald velvet.
Below I have linked a few more of my favorite items for the collaboration!

An all neutral look doesn’t have to be boring! Mix textures and prints like I have here to create an interesting combo. These python boots have been a favorite of mine since last fall, so I was excited that it cooled off enough here to wear them. I’ve linked a few other tall snakeskin boots and other ways I’ve styled mine here and here for inspo! Who’s happy fall is here?!

Okay, first let me tell you… This skirt has been a favorite of mine for the last three years, so I want to encourage you to purchase pieces you think will have a long life in your closet. Not those one hit wonders. Leopard is always on trend and therefore a safe addition to your fall wardrobe. Not to mention, leopard goes with just about everything. Because of this, I wanted to share a few other leopard pieces that will be staples for seasons to come.

Let me know what you think about incorporating more leopard into your wardrobe!

Who is loving cardigans this season?! I am anticipating a crazy Chicago winter ahead, so I’m loading up on all the sweaters. I plan on wearing them casually with jeans and draped over my shoulders with dresses and skirts. I linked a few others I’m loving too. Get to shopping, friends!

Goodness, it’s been awhile! The wedding, the move and a new job have gotten me out of my posting routine, but I’m happy to be back.
Today, I want to introduce you to my new favorite blouse. I’m sure I’ve told yall this before, but I often think about cost per wear when shopping. While this is an expensive blouse, there are a variety of ways to wear it. I decided to show you two of them! How cute is this blouse tucked into denim shorts with a pair of flats or sandals? The perfect spring and summer look! As the weather cools off, I’ll be wearing this blouse with jeans and a sneaker or a bootie. You can even layer a vest on top and still show off the fun sleeve. I also want to style this top with leather shorts, overalls and blue jeans!
I hope this post encourages you to expand the life of some of your pieces!

Some times the cleaner the better. Ivory and denim will always be a classic combo, and when you’re having a styling block, you can reach for this. I have these denim shorts in both this wash and a lighter wash that I wear ALL. THE. TIME. I love the amount of coverage and how they go with just about everything. Who else can agree that it’s really hard to find flattering denim shorts?! If you’re in search of a new pair, I highly recommend these! I’ve also linked a few lightweight sweater tanks for you to try out.

I think spring and summer dresses might be my favorite thing to buy. All the fun colors, textures, patterns and styles for the choosing! Dresses also make getting dressed easy and I think why I own so many. I work with many women who don’t feel confident when putting an outfit together, and dresses can solve this problem easily! You don’t have to think about styling a look when you can just slip on a dress and snag some shoes. Below I’ve linked a few other summer dresses I’ve been eyeing!

Thanks for stopping by today! I know I’ve been a little inconsistent with my posts, but I’m working on finding my groove in married life.
