Meet my new favorite dress! Isn’t she fantastic? When I came upon this dress, I knew I had to have her and would find an occasion for her later. We had our friends’ wedding this weekend in Virginia, and this was the first thing I packed.
A big part of building my wardrobe has been mixing high and low pieces. Not everything has to be a name brand or of a certain price point, but instead, I focus on purchasing things I absolutely love and filling in the gaps with less expensive items. For example, I splurged on this dress but found these simple gold heels and this fun bag at great prices to complete my look. I can’t wait to wear this again!

Who wants to match the fall leaves with me?! Henry said that if he had to describe my outfit in one word, it would be “fall,” so I definitely achieved what I was going for. We didn’t get such a beautiful crisp fall in Dallas like we have here in Chicago, and because of that, I’m going to fully embrace it.
I love that there are so many ways to style this skirt, so be on the lookout for more fall-toned color combos. Until then, I hope you have a great start to your week and feel inspired by the changing leaves!

During the cold and dreary months, you need a bright piece like this cardigan to get you through. Just because it’s going to be drab outside doesn’t mean your clothes have to be too! I love this cardigan casually with distressed jeans and sneakers, but I also think it could be fabulously elevated with a pair of black leather pants. Find a way to spice up your wardrobe this winter!
Here are some other colorful cardigans that would also be fun additions to your fall and winter wardrobe!

A white dress I think I’m going to love forever! The openwork detail, the tiered midi length and the loose fit. Just a perfect piece that you can wear with a sneaker, neutral sandal or a bootie to take us into fall. I took this dress for a spin in Spain and was so glad I packed it. If you’re planning a trip abroad or an extended trip anywhere for that matter, I would highly suggest packing dresses like this. Dress them up and down, and the loose fit keeps you comfortable all day.
I can’t wait to get this dress back from the dry cleaners, so I can wear it again! This time, with a bootie because it’s already cooling off here in Chicago.

Meet the newest dress you need to transition your wardrobe from late summer to fall! This dress was the perfect piece to pack for our Spain trip. I wore it multiple times, casually and dressed up, and took it from day to night. Here I styled it with a sandal for cocktails on a rooftop and then changed into a heel for dinner. A few days later, I wore it to travel from Madrid to San Sebastian with a sneaker and denim jacket. I will also pair it with a moto jacket and a bootie for fall. It’s a good one, I promise!
Thanks for letting me relive Spain!

Finding an easy day dress is a seasonal goal of mine! I don’t know about you, but I want to find pieces that are easy to throw on, style and run out the door. This dress is one of those. Although I’ve worn it with sneakers and sandals, It will also look great with booties and cowboy boots this fall. I can’t wait to show you how I’ll style this dress for fall, but for now, it’s at the dry cleaners, and I’ll have to show you other daily looks.

This dress is a new favorite of mine! Although the color may be more spring/summer, you can style it so many different ways. As temps get cooler here in Illinois, I will pair it back to my cowboy boots and neutral booties to transition into the next season. The long sleeves give me great versatility. Sometimes if you take a step back from your wardrobe, you realize all the ways you can wear each piece!
I know it’s been awhile since my last post, so thanks for sticking around!

Sometimes you come across a piece that you just have to have. You have nowhere to wear it and definitely don’t need it, but it’s coming home with you. That’s how I felt when I came across this dress. I had been eyeing it for awhile, but when I recently saw that it went on sale, I pulled the trigger.
Once I put it on, I realized that I could dress it up or down. You don’t need a special occasion after all! Last Saturday night I wore it to our favorite Mexican restaurant in town, Javier’s, but you could totally wear it to a summer wedding as well!
I’m realizing that I have so many clothes that I love but feel I need a “special occasion” to wear them. But why? I need to wear what makes me happy and feel good! Put on the dress you’ve been saving, gals, and have some fun!

This is the second dress I received from Confete, and I’m in love! (The first one is linked here.) It’s the perfect lightweight linen material for our hot Dallas days and nights. I paired it with tan sandals and a rattan bag for an easy on-the-go look. Of course, you can also dress this piece up with an espadrille or a strappy heel for dinner. Before you go, don’t forget to check out the other Confete pieces I linked in the post mentioned above!
Hope you have a great weekend!! XO, MS

I want to introduce you guys to a retailer I recently discovered! Confete will be your new go-to for all things event related and bride-worthy. They have the best daytime and event-ready dresses that you’re going to love plus swimwear, separates and accessories. I love that they carry a variety of price points too. I snagged this white maxi dress from them along with another dress I’m going to share later this week. I feel like I live in dresses during the summer, so when I stumbled across this versatile piece, I couldn’t resist. Below I’m going to share some of my other Confete favorites.
