Can you believe that Thanksgiving is here?! The time between Thanksgiving and Christmas is my favorite part of the year. There is so much joy, anticipation and family time! We are headed to Houston to be with Henry’s family, and I’m so excited to be back in the south for a little bit.

I wore this dress last week in Palm Beach, and I think it’s going to be my Thanksgiving dress too. It’s too cold to wear a short dress in Chicago, so I’ll take any chance I can get to show a little leg. Wouldn’t this be so cute with cowboy boots and a denim vest or jacket?! This pattern also comes in a fabulous blouse and jacket if that’s more your speed.

Party Platform Heels

These heels are just waiting for a party! Have you checked out Nicola Bathie’s collaboration with Antonio Melani for Dillard’s? Well, it’s filled with everything you may need for the holidays including these heels, sparkly dresses and festive accessories! I wore them this past weekend for a rehearsal dinner, and I was impressed with how comfortable they were. The platform definitely makes a difference. You can also get these heels in black and emerald velvet.

Mixing all the neutrals

An all neutral look doesn’t have to be boring! Mix textures and prints like I have here to create an interesting combo. These python boots have been a favorite of mine since last fall, so I was excited that it cooled off enough here to wear them. Leopard is a fall staple

Okay, first let me tell you… This skirt has been a favorite of mine for the last three years, so I want to encourage you to purchase pieces you think will have a long life in your closet. Not those one hit wonders. Leopard is always on trend and therefore a safe addition to your fall wardrobe. Not to mention, leopard goes with just about everything. Because of this, I wanted to share a few other leopard pieces that will be staples for seasons to come.

Goodness, it’s been awhile! The wedding, the move and a new job have gotten me out of my posting routine, but I’m happy to be back.

Today, I want to introduce you to my new favorite blouse. I’m sure I’ve told yall this before, but I often think about cost per wear when shopping. While this is an expensive blouse, there are a variety of ways to wear it. I decided to show you two of them! How cute is this blouse tucked into denim shorts with a pair of flats or sandals? The perfect spring and summer look! As the weather cools off, I’ll be wearing this blouse with jeans and a sneaker or a bootie. You can even layer a vest on top and still show off the fun sleeve. I also want to style this top with leather shorts, overalls and blue jeans!

Ivory + Denim

Some times the cleaner the better. Ivory and denim will always be a classic combo, and when you’re having a styling block, you can reach for this. I have these denim shorts in both this wash and a lighter wash that I wear ALL. THE. TIME. I love the amount of coverage and how they go with just about everything. Who else can agree that it’s really hard to find flattering denim shorts?! If you’re in search of a new pair, I highly recommend these! Floral Summer Dress

I think spring and summer dresses might be my favorite thing to buy. All the fun colors, textures, patterns and styles for the choosing! Dresses also make getting dressed easy and I think why I own so many. I work with many women who don’t feel confident when putting an outfit together, and dresses can solve this problem easily! You don’t have to think about styling a look when you can just slip on a dress and snag some shoes. Below I’ve linked a few other summer dresses I’ve been eyeing!

Marigold Printed Dress

This might be my favorite summer dress yet! I love the puff sleeves, the ties at the bust and the longer length. In the summer, especially in this Texas heat, I don’t love a bunch of fabric touching me. Easy and breezy are key characteristics when searching for summer clothes, and this dress checks all the boxes.

I wore this dress for Father’s Day and dressed it up with my wedding heels and pearl accessories. You can also style it with a pair of espadrilles or strappy sandals. I own both of these and wear them ALL. THE. TIME. If you’re looking to update your spring/summer shoe game, you can’t go wrong with all three of these. All neutral colors that can be worn with everything. Mileage is another key characteristic when choosing pieces to add to my wardrobe.

Hawaii Look #5

This is my final round up from our honeymoon on Lanai (insert crying emoji)! I don’t get to relive this trip with y’all anymore, but I appreciate you being on this journey with me. It’s been fun! Can you believe I’m not wearing a puffy sleeve? Somehow every other outfit I packed incorporated this trend. Cleary I like it! This dress is by one of my new favorite designers, and unfortunately, it’s almost sold out. BUT next to dresses, I linked ten of my other favorites from this line, so check them out!
