I’m so excited to share some of my favorite pieces from the latest All In The Detail drop. Michelle Carvalho has created the most wonderful collection for summer 2022, and I’ve been enjoying the Rebecca purse and the Teresa blouse over the last week – both summer essentials. Who doesn’t love a floral blouse and a straw bag perfect for summer vacation and dinners out with friends?! Below you’ll find the rest of my top picks from her collection! Enjoy!

Pops of Red and Blue

Can you tell I’m ready for spring? Hems are getting shorter as warm weather approaches. Yesterday, Henry and I went to the last SMU basketball home game of the season where red and blue is a must, so I completed this neutral look with a bright red bag and a red and blue headband. Sandals felt a bit premature, so I opted for a closed toe flat. Unfortunately, we blew a 24 point lead – seems to be a trend… Football season can’t get here soon enough!

Rust Stripe Button Down

Introducing your new favorite shirt line… drumroll please… Click here to discover Harshman’s beautiful blouses! This isn’t your average button down either. The rust colored stripes and the pleated collar are a unique combo, AND this blouse is made in the US. I can’t wait to layer sweaters on top – if it ever cools off, that is.

I have to say I was feeling quite put together and tailored in this outfit yesterday, but those feelings were squashed when I met Henry for lunch in his office building. The place was bustling with men in suits and women in pencil skirts and block heels. What a different world I live in at FDF! I’m thankful for the freedom and creativity I get to have when getting dressed in the morning.

Designer Items, Consignment Prices

You don’t always have to pay full price for designer items, and well of course, I don’t always have the budget to pay full price either. I got this Hermes scarf from a consignment store (Sugar Plum) a few years ago and paid under $100 for “like new” condition. I love its rich colors, pattern and most of all its transeasonal ability.

By the way, you absolutely need this white tee! It’s not shear, has a fun flutter sleeve and is sold for a great price.

Be sure to check in for “Friday Finds” every week to see the latest designer pieces I’ve found at consignment prices! Thanks again for stopping by.

Trapeze Style

Talk about the perfect summer dress… This cotton poplin material is lightweight and keeps you looking and feeling cool. I’ve linked similar options, so you, too, can be just as breezy.

I often wear neckerchiefs (here, here and here), so I decided to switch things up and move the scarf to my hair for a more playful look. What are your thoughts? Do I look like I’m back in kindergarten?

Spring, We Welcome You

Spring is officially here (PRAISE!!), and it’s time to transition our closets to the current season. This leather dress, a staple of my fall/winter wardrobe, can easily be transeasonal. Instead of wearing a sweater and boots, I’ve paired this dress with my favorite denim jacket and spring silk scarf. AND, who cares about the “white rule” – don’t be afraid to pull out those white sandals you haven’t worn since labor day.

What pieces in your closet are you transitioning to spring?

A Splurge

I would first like to share that I am now an influencer on rewardStyle! I am beyond excited!!! You can shop my images directly from Instagram if you have the rewardStyle app. More info to come :).

I totally support splurging on pieces that will last a decade or so – a staple black dress, the perfect loafer, or a classic coat. One of my splurges has been this Hermes scarf. The colors and pattern are rich and just look luxurious. I let this piece stand out while keeping the rest of my outfit neutral.

You can find Hermes scarves at consignment stores with the tags still on, but you may have to hunt. I’ve tagged some of my favorites: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.

White After Labor Day?

This is a blast from the past – I wore this Helmut Lang dress to SMU’s first tailgate. Although, I do fully support wearing white after labor day. Pair a cozy sweater with white denim, and you are good to go. Here are a couple of winter white pieces that I think will carry you right to spring. AND note my new favorite nail polish: OPI Taupe-Less Beach.
