One of my coworkers told me I was channeling my inner Laura Ingalls Wilder with this look, and you know, I’m not mad about it. I wouldn’t mind running through a field of lush grass with a basket in tow.

I love the special details on this dress from the eyelet embroidery, ribbon cinched waist and the scalloped trim. You can’t get more feminine than this! Unfortunately, this dress isn’t online anymore, so I linked some of my other favorite white midi dresses with similar detailing. I hope you have a great Wednesday!!

The best embroidered dress

First of all, how dreamy is this backdrop? Hotel Esencia, just north of Tulum, Mexico, is the most serene place I’ve ever stayed. Iguanas greeted me every morning on my doorstep, and the private beach was only steps away. I can’t talk about this place without mentioning the five star service and the kind people who work there. I already miss Jorge’s and Rojo’s smiling faces!!

Now onto my outfit… This was the perfect dress to bring to Mexico. It was not only breathable in the intense heat but mimicked the embroidery you find on traditional Mexican dresses. I paired it with the orange straw bag and my tried and true gold espadrilles. What am I going to do when these fall apart?

Bright Bold Colors and Asymmetrical Lines

I don’t wear a lot of red, but when I stumbled upon this dress at one of my favorite consignment stores, I had to have it. I love the asymmetrical lines, the bright bold colors and the silk material. Not to mention, I got it for over 75% off, and it still had the tags attached! That’s a win in my book! I wasn’t able to find the dress online, but I found some other fun options by the same designer, DVF.

Happy Humpday, friends!

Style a Scarf as a Belt

Hi friends! I’ve styled this scarf many times for you (1, 2, 3, 4), and today I’m showing you how to wear it as a belt. This scarf is 36 inches by 36 inches which allows me to wear it many different ways! First, click here to see how I folded the scarf. You can fold it as few or as many times as you’d like depending on how thick you want your belt. I decided to wear mine thicker, so you can see more of the pattern and color.

I hope this inspired you to wear your scarves a new way!

White Embroidered Dress

A tale of white spring and summer dresses continues… This theme started Easter Sunday and continues with this look. I mentioned last week that I have been drawn to neutrals, and this is a prime example. Something about a white dress feels fresh to me. It’s nothing new, but I guess after wearing relatively dark colors through the fall and winter, this is a nice change! I will be posting more white dresses soon!

Lace Everything

I’ve found myself being drawn to neutrals this spring – from my new espadrilles, to sundresses and statement earrings. I picked up this top and skirt from consignment stores in Dallas and Miami. Y’all know how much I love consignment shopping and the thrill I get from a deal! The top and skirt originally retailed for around $700 together, but I paid $175 for the look. I’ll give myself a pat on the back for that one :). The top I’ve already worn a handful of times with jeans and shorts. I’ll continue to keep it in my rotation this spring and summer, and I’m excited to style this skirt in other ways too!

Thanks for stopping by! I’ve linked my exact skirt above. Below I’ve added some other skirts with greater size runs, so you can recreate my look! Many on SALE!!!

Khaki Combo

I LOVE espadrille wedges! Truly, I can’t get enough of them. I wear my classic J. Crew espadrilles (1 and 2) all the time, so I decided to invest in another pair for spring and summer. The sole is squishy, and the platform allows for all day comfort. If you’re looking for a new pair of sandals, these are a great option! I’m wearing a 39 and am a solid 8 in almost all shoes.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Easter Sunday

IMG_3437

| dress | earrings | clutch | espadrilles |

He is risen indeed! I hope everyone had a happy Easter with family and friends. I was in Memphis this weekend, and I had to best time with Henry, my fam and high school friends. I LOVE being home with my people!

My dress is 55% off, and it looks like you can get another 20% off from the site! Most sizes are still available, but I’m not sure how long the promotions will last. These shoes are my favorites from last year, so I linked this year’s version. An ivory lace dress and a wedge espadrille won’t go out of style, so you won’t regret purchasing these spring and summer staples! Not to mention, BOTH are amazingly comfortable.
