Frayed edges are everywhere! Sweaters, jackets, denim. You name it! They are a must-have. These jeans combine a few of my favorite denim trends: the baby bootcut, side seam detailing and the released hem with frayed edges. This jean will be the perfect piece to take into spring and summer. The colors are fresh, and you can’t go wrong with a light wash! How should I style them for spring?

Trending: Shearling Outerwear

| blouse: 1, 2 | skirt | jacket (similar) | boots | earrings |

I’d been dying to introduce shearling into my wardrobe but hadn’t found the perfect piece UNTIL this guy. You’ve seen me wear my Who What Wear denim jacket a million times, so it’s safe to say this was a smart investment. I don’t typically think of a denim jacket providing much warmth, but the fur is a game changer! The patches and distressing are a nice touch too! If you’re interested in trying this trend, click HERE to see a few other shearling options!

Thanks for stopping by and happy humpday!!

Cozy in Cashmere

| sweater | jeans | booties |

I’m a wimp in the cold! I just can’t stand it, and no matter how many layers I put on, I still seem to shiver. Henry’s dying to take me skiing, and I continue to find an excuse. Oops! I’m content here in my cozy sweater enjoying the Dallas “winter.” Am I a diva or is this normal?

My mom gave me this sweater for Christmas! It’s so different from anything in my closet, and I think that’s why I was drawn to it. The skull adds a little edge that my wardrobe is lacking. Are you trying something new this year? Maybe 2019 is the year I enjoy skiing in below freezing temps. Who knows!!

Friday Finds: Gucci Galore

You know as well as I do that Gucci shoes are everywhere these days! Everybody’s wearing them: bloggers, your boss, your neighbor… you name it. Because of this, I decided to highlight their shoes as this week’s Friday Finds. I searched my favorite consignment retailers, and this is just a peak at what’s out there. Shopping consignment is a great way to buy into a trend without paying full price, and let’s be real, full price can be a lot.

Shine Bright

| sweater | jeans | bomber | sneakers | sunglasses |

Happy humpday!! I’m featuring the ultimate groutfit today. I don’t usually wear gray jeans as I prefer to wear different shades of blue, but I’m loving the side-seam trend. I decided to give these a shot, and I’m so glad I did! I highly recommend investing in a pair of jeans with this detailing because they can make a simple outfit a little more fun. This cashmere sweater is right on trend with the star pattern and athleisure-style hood. I added my favorite bomber jacket and sneakers to top off this casual look.

I’ll wear these jeans into the spring with basic tees and feminine blouses. Add a sandal, and let the denim do the talking! What do you think about the side-seam trend and this monochromatic look? I’d love to get your feedback!

Tweed Please

| top | skirt | vest | booties | handbag | sunglasses | brooch: 1, 2, 3 |

Today’s post is a combination of old pieces that I put together to create a new look. These are all classic pieces that you should keep in your wardrobe. A chambray top is something you can wear any season and with any bottom. The camel vest is the perfect layering item to complete all fall and winter outfits, adding style but not bulk. And of course, every girl must own a tweed skirt.

I did receive this vintage Chanel brooch for Christmas that I’m excited to style. Adding it to this outfit, completed the classic and timeless look.

Try creating a new outfit with old pieces this week! This will bring new life to your wardrobe.

New Year, New Hair

| sweater | jeans | sneakers: 1, 2, 3 |

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a fun New Year’s Eve! These past couple of weeks in Tennessee with family and friends allowed for some much needed downtime and home-cooked meals. While in Memphis, I decided to do a little something different with my hair. I’ve always kept it all one length, but this time I decided to add a little dimension with layers. This may sound silly because well, this is a normal thing for most people. I also hadn’t cut my hair in over a year, so it needed help desperately. I’ve had fun styling these fresh ends!

What’s something new you’re trying this year?
