The Brooks Museum featured a tape artist the last couple of weeks. He created an entire mural just out of painter’s tape. Checkout the exhibit.

This will be my summer go-to outfit: a lightweight button down and distressed denim. I thought the slides would be hard to pair with, but surprisingly, I’ve worn them with most neutrals, any denim, and muted patterns. Also, the slides are on sale, so get them while you can!

Happy Summer!

The Coveted Jumpsuit

This jumpsuit is a treasure from my summer internship at Tibi. I’ve been saving it for a special event, and that time came: my last college formal. I love this outfit because it’s so different. It has the off-the-shoulder trend combined with the wide leg and pockets. I added the beaded clutch for a pop of color and the nude shoe to make it more springy. I can’t wait to wear it again!

I love the beadwork on this clutch. The vibrant colors are perfect for the summer and can be paired with almost anything. I envision wearing this with denim and a blue blouse.

Eberjey PJ Set

Eberjey makes the softest most comfy pajamas ever. There are many styles but my favorite is the short set, and the Palm Trees are my favorite Eberjey pattern this season!

Adidas Running Shoe

These Adidas kicks are my new favorite running shoes. There is ample support for the toe and heel and has a lip that doesn’t slide around. Highly recommended!

Paris Print

As I get ready to move into my first apartment, I’m looking for accessories to make it feel like a home. This Parisian print reminds me of time I’ve spent there and the trips I hope to go on in the future.

Spring it On

The majority of the outfits I put together on a regular basis mix brands, trends, and price points. You all know I love Zara, and you’ve probably realized by now that I also love nice things – don’t we all. If you don’t feel like committing to a trend, why not try it out by getting an inexpensive version. If you’re over it before the trend has even started, have no fear – you didn’t spend an arm and a leg. This blouse is from Zara, but you can find similar more expensive options on Shopbop and Revolve.

I’ve incorporated many of my favorite trends and pieces into this look. My coveted Old Navy denim vest goes with me everywhere, on every trip. I love ruffles and feminine details which are incorporated in both the blouse and pants. Lastly, gingham is one of my favorite patterns to wear. No matter if it’s small or bold, it makes a plain outfit not so plain.

Denim Dress Days

Thank you Fossil for sending me this adorable blue suede and leather purse! I’m obsessed with the tassels. I love having girly details on everything I wear like the fringe on my earrings, the ruffle on my sleeve and of course the tassels on my purse. Almost every outfit I wear has some sort of ruffle or feminine detail.

Here are a few more denim dresses that I’m obsessed with! This dress is going to be my summer staple.

Best of 2016

2016 was a great year filled with great outfits, so I decided to share a few of my favorites.

IMG_3211

one: This outfit made the list for many reasons. First of all, this pair of Zara denim has become a favorite of mine. I can’t help but wear them all the time because they are just so comfortable. The Dolce Vita sandals have also been a staple of my spring and summer wardrobe for the last 3 years.

two: Let me tell you… If I could fill my wardrobe with dozens of Self Portrait dresses, I would, but unfortunately, I don’t have the budget for that. Each dress is incredibly unique and incorporates a variety of textures. I’m obsessed.

three: After a summer filled with all things Tibi, I couldn’t help but love the line. I also love the matching set trend and the opportunity to create new looks.

four: I love the overalls just as much as the day I shared them with you. This post also includes one of my favorite blouses and my go-to velvet sandals.

five: Well, y’all have heard me rant about my Old Navy vest enough that you probably think I wear it everyday. It seems I do, just about. It just goes with everything and can make a plain outfit a little less simple.

I can’t wait to see what 2017 holds!

The Skirt Dilemma

Often I struggle finding the perfect top to go with a skirt. Do I need to tuck a shirt in or can it just flow? Well, this sweater is perfect for any high waisted skirt. The sweater sits right at the top of the skirt, so the details of the skirt are fully exposed. I found this cropped sweater at a Helmut Lang sample sale in New York, but I’ve found similar options for you!

PS. my skirt is on sale!!!

A Trolley Ride

May and I got a nice ride down Main Street by Mr. James, a Memphis trolley driver. He pitched many photo ideas and made a few stops for us along the way.

Today, I wore a Zara (of course) green jumpsuit with a denim vest and platform oxfords. Unfortunately, the jumpsuit is no longer available, but I found one similar. This denim vest has become a staple in my wardrobe no matter the season. I pair it with almost everything.

PS. If you haven’t ridden a Memphis trolley before, you must. AND it’s only $1.
