Today I am headed to New York with my mom, and I can only imagine the walking we are going to do. I’ve decided to focus this week’s Friday Finds on the most comfortable shoes going into Fall. You don’t just need comfortable shoes in NYC, so I’ve pulled a few that we will need for those days when we don’t want to try too hard but don’t want to wear our tennis shoes either.
Vince Warren Slip-On
First up is the Vince slip-on. These come in all the coveted fabrics and colors of fall including olive satin and pink velvet. These shoes have been all the rage the last couple of years, but I love the height Vince has added.
Rebecca Minkoff Sammi Slide
This shoe is made for the times you are feeling a little more daring. These slides will be perfect for a legging and sweater combo.
Loeffler Randall Jasper Tassel Oxford
I love a great oxford – I’m sure you can tell considering I wear my snakeskin oxfords quite regularly. I picture myself wearing this shoe with a slim ankle length black trouser and a crew neck sweater. This shoe speaks “put together J. Crew” to me.
Paul Green Logan Bootie
Comfort is key when it comes to wearing a bootie. If they are too tight, your foot feels claustrophobic. If they are too big, you feel like a clown. Or at least I do. I love the colors this Paul Green bootie comes in. I envision you wearing this bootie with distressed jeans and a plaid button down, but that’s just me.
Vince Bray Loafer
Vince has done it again. Add a velvet loafer to your business casual or casual wardrobe. This shoe is something you can work into your daily rotation.
Thanks for stopping by, and happy Friday!

This romper is one of my favorite purchases of the last year! Get to shopping, gals.
This week I’m in Key Largo, so the leather jacket isn’t needed. I’m going to pair this with my white tuxedo vest and heels.

Well it’s been awhile since I’ve had time to devote to the blog. Luckily I have some awesome friends that don’t mind helping a sister take a few pictures. We are in LA this week, and we couldn’t be happier. The weather has been beautiful, but the wind is a little stronger than our liking. If only we could stay here for another week – there are hundreds of restaurants and beaches we have yet to try.

Matching my city and our team. Go Grizz.
In the wise words of Tony Allen, “I bleed blue. I think they going to keep me. But if they don’t, I understand. I don’t even think about it now. I just play. I love being in Memphis. I love the city. Hopefully I stay here. It feels like home.”

Last night we stepped back in time with Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. Not gonna lie, our teachers weren’t the only ones dancing in their seats! Now I understand why my parents love that era of music so much. I’ve noticed since we’ve been in London that the people here love to wear black and white – there isn’t much variety. I tried to fit in and made my dress and vest a little more casual with some pony hair sneakers.

Today’s stops included Wesley’s Chapel, Speakers’ Corner, and brunch at Sixty One. Running through the underground tube may not be a gift of mine, but I’m learning. The cool temps required a little something extra – not your typical summer sweater – for our church service this morning. We also learned that heels might not be your best bet on the underground.

And I am off to London! Next time I post I will be a mere 4,000 miles away. London weather is not quite as sunny and warm as it is in the South – so I hear – so today I tested out a few pieces meant for this cooler weather. Many adventures and laughs are to come!
