Rust Colored Dress + Cowboy Boots

| dress: 1, 2, 3 | boots (other boots I love: 1, 2) | earrings | ear lobe support | curling iron |

We were back in Texas for thanksgiving, and my oh my, did it feel good! And it wasn’t just because of the warm temperature. The south definitely feels like home to us.

Because of COVID, we didn’t get to have an engagement party in Houston, so Henry’s mom thought it would be fun to host a party while we were there! I loved getting to meet all of their favorite people and seeing those we hadn’t seen since the wedding. And of course, I love an opportunity to dress up.

I wore this rust colored dress that I got in Savannah this summer. It felt like the ultimate Thanksgiving piece, and I paired it with these cowboy boots Henry gave me years ago. I hadn’t worn these boots in awhile, but I’m pretty sure I wore them everyday while we were there. It just felt right! I accessorized the outfit with a pair of my favorite pearl hoops. They are a little heavy, so I ordered these patches off of Amazon to support my earlobes. Sounds weird, but they actually work!

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are getting into the Christmas spirit! Our tree is decorated, and we’ve got Christmas music on repeat!

Printed Dress + Snakeskin Boots

| dress: 1, 2, 3, 4 | boots | earrings: 1, 2, 3 | curling iron |

Dresses might be my favorite piece of clothing to wear, and this one is no exception. I love the colors, the pattern and of course, the puffy sleeves. It also comes in two other color-ways (linked above). You don’t have to wear a tall boot either, though these are on major sale! A flat bootie or a sneaker will look great too.

I hope this post inspired you to pull something out of your closet that you haven’t worn in awhile! Thanks for stopping by! XO, MS

A Pink Printed Dress for Fall

| dress other color ways: 1, 2 | headband | sandals | earrings |

I envisioned wearing this fall dress with camel booties (these, these or these), but because it was 80 degrees in Houston the night I wore this dress, I opted for sandals. We got a glimpse of chilly weather yesterday, so I hope that means boots are in my future!

Do you prefer fall or summer clothes? I think I typically prefer summer because clothes are designed with such happy patterns and colors, but for some reason, I’m really itching to wear fall gear this year and leave the summer clothes behind.

P.S. You can grab these sandals on sale right now!!

Thanks for reading and happy weekend! XO, MS

White ruffles and distressed denim

A white blouse and jeans won’t ever go out of style. I snagged this top over a month ago, and it’s quickly become one of my favorites. In my opinion, you can never have too many white blouses, so if you have room in your closet, this might be a great piece for you. I wore it here with shorts for a more casual look. Dress it up, dress it down and wear it year round!

Happy Monday, friends! XO, MS

It was very hard to say goodbye to Watersound and my high school ladies!! What a trip to remember. Lots of laughs, good food and lazy beach days! Restaurants are pretty casual along 30A, so I paired this poplin blouse with a pair of my favorite denim shorts and these fringed espadrilles for drinks at The Pearl hotel and dinner at George’s. I hope to get back down there soon!
