This is the second dress I received from Confete, and I’m in love! (The first one is linked here.) It’s the perfect lightweight linen material for our hot Dallas days and nights. I paired it with tan sandals and a rattan bag for an easy on-the-go look. Of course, you can also dress this piece up with an espadrille or a strappy heel for dinner. Hawaii Look #4

Hello from Hawaii again! Today, I’m sharing my fourth look of the trip and what might be my favorite. It’s hard for me to resist a puffy sleeve, as you can tell from my last three honeymoon looks. I love this dress for many reasons, but I really appreciate when a piece can be worn a variety of ways. I can wear this with a dressy heel and clutch for a summer wedding or dress it down with a pair of sneakers and my hair in a ponytail. Your options are endless with a piece like this! Hawaii Look #3

If I could go back to this day, I would! We were about to set sail on the Four Seasons’ beautiful catamaran for a sunset cruise around Lanai. One thing Henry and I were so impressed with and continue to talk about was the service we experienced while on the island. Every single person that we came in contact with who worked for the resort was so incredibly happy to be there and to help us with anything we may have needed. Yes, Henry and I enjoyed the scenery and being on the boat, but we also enjoyed getting to know the captain and the deckhands. What fun they were to be around and how cool it was to learn about their island life. The service definitely made our trip!

Note, I wore my hair in a braid to keep the wispies out of my face and wore shorts to make sure I didn’t have a Marilyn moment! In retrospect, I’m glad I made both choices.

A Neutral Look

When I think of summer outfits, I usually think of bright colors and patterns, but every once and awhile it’s nice to break out a more neutral look. I love this dress because while you can wear it now, you can also wear it this fall with cognac booties and a denim jacket or moto jacket.

Puff Sleeve Dot Blouse

Spending this week with my high school girls in one of my favorite places couldn’t make me happier! So far we’ve spent lazy days on the beach, brunched at Great Southern Cafe in Seaside and celebrated our girl Allie’s 26th birthday with pizza on the porch!
