Another beautiful couple is married! My girl, May, married her guy, William this weekend in Memphis. What a joy it was to be a part of their intimate ceremony. New and old friends gathered to celebrate them, and I walked away realizing just how loved they are and how well they love others. Cheers to the Clinkscales!

I bought this dress awhile back, so I linked similar dresses by the same designer. I also linked this exact dress on consignment sites.

I hope you are able to get dressed up soon!

A couple weeks back, I gave y’all two tips to consignment shopping. I mentioned a beautiful dress I found with no special occasion in mind. I scored a great price and couldn’t leave the store without it! Well, this is the dress, and sure enough, we had a wedding to attend a couple of months later!

I linked my exact dress on a consignment website, so you can score a similar deal!

Happy Wednesday, and thanks for stopping by!

My graduation dress

Here I am resurrecting my college graduation dress! I love it as much as I did when I wore it two years ago. The details made this a special dress for a special occasion. I’ve linked similar options plus my dress in navy, so check them out! You’re probably wondering if you can wear white after labor day, and yes, you most definitely can! Don’t let silly rules determine if and when you can wear some of your favorite pieces.

Happy Monday! Search your closet for an oldie but a goodie!

What a whirlwind weekend it’s been. Well, a 4 years for that matter. This weekend I graduated from Southern Methodist University and am moving to the next stage in my life. First stop – home. A time to reboot and hang out with my family.

Like I’ve told y’all before, I love the detail in Self Portrait dresses. I had trouble deciding between this and a few others, so I’ll link them below. Congratulations to those who graduated this month!

Best of 2016

2016 was a great year filled with great outfits, so I decided to share a few of my favorites.

IMG_3211

one: This outfit made the list for many reasons. First of all, this pair of Zara denim has become a favorite of mine. I can’t help but wear them all the time because they are just so comfortable. The Dolce Vita sandals have also been a staple of my spring and summer wardrobe for the last 3 years.

two: Let me tell you… If I could fill my wardrobe with dozens of Self Portrait dresses, I would, but unfortunately, I don’t have the budget for that. Each dress is incredibly unique and incorporates a variety of textures. I’m obsessed.

three: After a summer filled with all things Tibi, I couldn’t help but love the line. I also love the matching set trend and the opportunity to create new looks.

four: I love the overalls just as much as the day I shared them with you. This post also includes one of my favorite blouses and my go-to velvet sandals.

five: Well, y’all have heard me rant about my Old Navy vest enough that you probably think I wear it everyday. It seems I do, just about. It just goes with everything and can make a plain outfit a little less simple.

I can’t wait to see what 2017 holds!

I love the unique dresses that Self Portrait makes, each incorporating many textures and fabrics. His dresses are unlike any other line which makes me love them even more. This dress originally had cap sleeves, but I decided to cut them off and add the lace detail to allow more movement. I also added a slit in the skirt. I can’t wait to wear this dress again, and I’m hoping another Self Portrait purchase is in my future.
