You know as well as I do that Gucci shoes are everywhere these days! Everybody’s wearing them: bloggers, your boss, your neighbor… you name it. Because of this, I decided to highlight their shoes as this week’s Friday Finds. I searched my favorite consignment retailers, and this is just a peak at what’s out there. Shopping consignment is a great way to buy into a trend without paying full price, and let’s be real, full price can be a lot.
Happy Friday, y’all! Since I decided to focus Friday Finds on consignment shopping, I had to tell you about an event LGS is hosting. For a couple of days, Luxury Garage Sale is highlighting their “new with tags” clothing, shoes and accessories online. How dreamy is this dress? From the moment I saw it on Instagram, I knew I had to have it. I love the applique detailing and the abundance of ruffles. Unfortunately I can’t find it anywhere online, so I linked my favorite pink dresses from Shopbop and Revolve.

I don’t always wear neutrals, but when I do, I choose printed leather shorts. I got these 3.1 Phillip Lim leather shorts at Luxury Garage Sale, and I have to say, they are one of my favorite finds. You won’t see these around; plus, you can wear them all seasons. For those Dallasites out there, you know it doesn’t get too cold. I will wear these into the winter with a chunky sweater.

So, I love consignment stores. You can find some of the greatest and most unique items with just a little searching. My favorite consignment stores in Dallas are Luxury Garage Sale and To Be Continued (where my mom and I found this tee). I’ve purchased Hermes scarves, a Derek Lam dress and Mother denim overalls, and I paid less than half the price of retail! Consignment stores are also a great way to get rid of items you don’t wear anymore, and make a little cash too. I’ve attached standout items from these stores below:

When duty calls… My photojournalism teacher assigned our class to take self portraits that represented our interests, so my first thought was to take a fashion related photograph. Thankfully, Luxury Garage Sale didn’t mind if I came by for an hour to rearrange their store and make a fool out of myself, definitely a perk of working for them… Not only is the store beautiful, but they also have one of a kind pieces matching the caliber of the decor. Thanks to LGS and my friend, Rena Clayton, this is the final product.

No dress code, no problem… I found great fun deciding what to wear each day to work. With few limitations, I got to be creative and get inspiration from the people with which I worked.
There was no shortage of art and culture in the city. The Met, The MOMA, and The Whitney are all worth a visit.

These shoes were a lifesaver for Margaret and me. I don’t think we could’ve walked the miles we did in our sandals and loafers. We hated ourselves for following the Adidas trend for the first couple of days, but then we got over it.

Well, you know me and murals. Had to find at least one while I was in town.
I’d rather spend less on a pair of trendy denim than splurging, and instead, I invest in the classics.

Black and white is definitely a common combination in my wardrobe and probably yours, too. This is a new take on a classic. I’m wearing a midi fringed skirt that looks more like a typical spring and summer skirt, but paired with a darker top and heat like we’ve had, you can pull it off. The top and skirt can both be purchased from Luxury Garage Sale, but above are a few other options.
