Marble Knit from Bette’s

Happy Wednesday, friends! I’m sharing this look you may have seen on Instagram over the last week or so. The team at Bette’s gifted this knit top to me, and I’m obsessed. I love that it’s a little different from my go-to style — more modern and less feminine than what you usually see me in. Switching things up is always fun! I paired it with these barrel shaped jeans and a strappy sandal for the perfect spring transitional look. Don’t be afraid to try new styles or trends, but never stray too far from your own personal style. This will keep your wardrobe consistent and create the most mileage for you.

I hope you have a great week! XO, MS

Meet my new favorite dress! Isn’t she fantastic? When I came upon this dress, I knew I had to have her and would find an occasion for her later. We had our friends’ wedding this weekend in Virginia, and this was the first thing I packed.

A big part of building my wardrobe has been mixing high and low pieces. Not everything has to be a name brand or of a certain price point, but instead, I focus on purchasing things I absolutely love and filling in the gaps with less expensive items. For example, I splurged on this dress but found these simple gold heels and this fun bag at great prices to complete my look. I can’t wait to wear this again!

Backless Beaded Dress

“Lizzie McGuire, you are an outfit repeater!” I love this dress so much that I’ve worn it the last three out of four weekends for different wedding related events. Behind my wedding and rehearsal dinner dresses, this might be my next favorite. Gosh, I just love it. Typically I wouldn’t spend this much on a dress, but I knew that I would have quite a few opportunities to wear it coming up.

I had trouble finding the perfect shoe to go with it, though. Obviously, the dress is the statement, so I wanted to find a heel that was sleek and comfortable. My black heels felt too harsh against the green, and my white heels felt too summery. Since I splurged on the dress, I didn’t want to splurge on my heels too. I’m pleased with how this look came together!

Marigold Printed Dress

This might be my favorite summer dress yet! I love the puff sleeves, the ties at the bust and the longer length. In the summer, especially in this Texas heat, I don’t love a bunch of fabric touching me. Easy and breezy are key characteristics when searching for summer clothes, and this dress checks all the boxes.

I wore this dress for Father’s Day and dressed it up with my wedding heels and pearl accessories. You can also style it with a pair of espadrilles or strappy sandals. I own both of these and wear them ALL. THE. TIME. If you’re looking to update your spring/summer shoe game, you can’t go wrong with all three of these. All neutral colors that can be worn with everything. Mileage is another key characteristic when choosing pieces to add to my wardrobe.

P.S. This dress is selling out quickly, so if you want to give it a try, order asap!

Thanks for letting me share some of my favorite goodies!

Y’all are probably tired of seeing me in white dresses by now, but don’t worry, in 25 days I’ll add a little more variety to my wardrobe! Hint hint wedding day is fast approaching! I found this dress on sale when Henry and I visited Chicago back in January, and I had to pounce. I have dreamed of wearing something by this designer during our engagement season, so I couldn’t pass this dress up. An extra special dress for an extra special season.

I wore this outfit on my bachelorette trip this weekend, and I definitely felt like a bride. Of course, the “soon-to-be bride” sash and veil helped – shout out to my moh, Margaret, for all the gear! Although this dress is almost sold out, I linked some other white dresses by this designer for you to check out. I hope you find something you love!

I love the beadwork on this clutch. The vibrant colors are perfect for the summer and can be paired with almost anything. I envision wearing this with denim and a blue blouse.

Eberjey makes the softest most comfy pajamas ever. There are many styles but my favorite is the short set, and the Palm Trees are my favorite Eberjey pattern this season!

These Adidas kicks are my new favorite running shoes. There is ample support for the toe and heel and has a lip that doesn’t slide around. Highly recommended!

As I get ready to move into my first apartment, I’m looking for accessories to make it feel like a home. This Parisian print reminds me of time I’ve spent there and the trips I hope to go on in the future.

I’m realizing that as my time in college is coming to an end, I won’t have nearly the same amount of opportunities to get dressed up. It seems like I’m always looking for a formal dress, and I want them to be unique. Not something that everyone has and that’s hard to come by. I’ve had great luck on ASOS – prices are reasonable and they have lots of stock to choose from. This dress has to be one of my favorites!
