The Perfect Personalized Blouse

I love adding special pieces to my wardrobe – pieces that you can’t find everywhere and ones that not everyone already has. This plaid top is by Andion Clothing, a Spanish line I discovered awhile back. I chose the blouse style and then chose the pattern I wanted in that style. I’m definitely not a designer or creative enough to design something from scratch, but this process allowed me to create something perfect for my wardrobe. I styled the Andion plaid top with these colored jeans I’ve worn with so much this fall and winter. I then accessorized with this shearling headband (I can’t get enough of shearling) and an ivory bootie. The booties I’m wearing here could use a trip to the shoe doctor, so I linked a pair that I’ve been eyeing.

P.S. Yes, I was freezing when taking these photos. There is snow on the ground and the temperature was in the 20’s, but there was no other way to show you my new favorite top. Oops!

Mixing all the neutrals

An all neutral look doesn’t have to be boring! Mix textures and prints like I have here to create an interesting combo. These python boots have been a favorite of mine since last fall, so I was excited that it cooled off enough here to wear them. Okay, first let me tell you… This skirt has been a favorite of mine for the last three years, so I want to encourage you to purchase pieces you think will have a long life in your closet. Not those one hit wonders. Leopard is always on trend and therefore a safe addition to your fall wardrobe. Not to mention, leopard goes with just about everything. This is what I wear when it’s 80 degrees in November – YES you read that right. It pains me to wear a summery blouse this far into the fall, so I styled this lightweight cotton sweater with my go-to boyfriend jean shorts and my favorite new booties.

I couldn’t decide if I liked this outfit with or without the headband, so I shot both. What do y’all think? My mom told me it wasn’t necessary for me to wear a headband everyday (haha), so I’ve tried to mix things up over the last few weeks. She likes them, so this isn’t a dig at her! Last week I think I only wore a headband twice – that’s big for me. As you’ve seen over the last 8 months, they’ve become quite a staple in my wardrobe. Not only are they cute, but they also keep my hair out of my eyes while still being able to wear it down. Something that is hard to master when you have a lot of hair like me… What do y’all think? Should I take a break from headbands?

Sunday’s Best

Finally, Saturday felt like the first day of winter. After 70 degrees and tornado warnings on Friday, we had a snow filled Saturday morning. That didn’t stop us from enjoying a sunny afternoon at Katy Trail Ice House – heaters and blankets included.

Sunday morning I couldn’t bare to show much leg, so I grabbed my over-the-knee boots and a cozy coat. These boots have been a favorite for years and will continue to be a classic style. My Recent Rent The Runway Experience

I hope you all had a very merry Christmas!

I used Rent The Runway for Henry’s sister’s debutant presentations this past weekend, and the process was seamless! I was very pleased with the two dresses I rented and the back up size option they provided. Everything arrived on time (early in fact) and wrinkle free. I will say one of the dresses had a minor stain and a stubborn zipper, but once zipped, I was good to go!

I love that with RTR you can wear something that may be out of your budget, a dream dress per se, and you won’t break the bank! If I had purchased these two dresses on my own, I would’ve paid close to $2,000, but instead I paid less than $180! Below I will link other dresses I love from RTR, similar heels and bags too.
