Shop this season’s checkered pant by clicking the link above! They are the perfect way to transition your wardrobe into spring. As it warms up, pair the pants with a white eyelet blouse and an espadrille.
In retrospect, I think this look was inspired by a vacation I wish I was on. Have you ever been on an African Safari? For whatever reason, this is the most recent addition to my bucket list. I’m not sure how appropriate this outfit would be for that adventure, but it works for Dallas.
I hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend with your family!
Today I’ve found some of 2017’s hottest handbags below retail price. How you ask? Well, there is a site called The Real Real which sells amazing consignment pieces from vintage to new with tags.
The bags I chose have been lightly used, maybe carried only a handful of times. You can tell they were taken care of by the photos shown on the website.
This bag retails around $1700, and you can get it for $1595. I love the stitching of this bag, and the color can be carried all seasons. Don’t be afraid to wear white after Labor Day!
This bag retails for $2200, but The Real Real is selling it for $1495. Fendi is all the rage right now, and I can’t stay away from the bold colors they are using.
The bird bag is selling for $1465 in store but $995 on The Real Real. Don’t you love the embroidery?
This Chloe bag has been around for the last couple of seasons, but I love the addition of the flowers. It will pair nicely with winter whites or a chunky burgundy sweater. It retails for $2625 but you can get it for $1276.
This classic Gucci bamboo sells for $2390, but you can get it for $1895. This bag may be a favorite of this season, but it will never go out of style. A great investment piece.
You may think of the original LV monogram when you think of Louis Vuitton, but darling little crossbody is a great addition to your wardrobe. It is selling for $2600 verse $3550 retail.
This bag has definitely been the golden ticket of 2017. You really can’t go wrong with Gucci though. Get this bag $355 off retail at $1995.
Chanel might not be realistic for most of us, but I thought I would include this beauty anyway. It’s $200 off on The Real Real.
I love the color blocking on this bag! Get it for $717, almost $1000 off.
This bag is all yours for $1125. The multicolor medallions keep the bag whimsical while the black backside keeps it transitional.
As you can tell, I love crossbodies. They make a statement while keeping your hands free. I hope you all enjoyed the 2017 handbag roundup!
Hop on the gingham trend! You won’t be disappointed. After a little self reflection, I’ve realized that some of my favorite pieces are gingham. You can find anything in this pattern from shoes, to bags, to bathing suits. I’ll show you the way I’ve styled it and other pieces you may enjoy!
Also, make sure you check out the Akola Project. They gave me this beautiful necklace. Not only does this organization sell beautiful jewelry, it also helps empower women all over the world.

Since we’ve been in London, we have explored many of the diverse markets, each having its own personality and crowd. This weekend at the Camden Market, Margaret and I decided to purchase handmade “friendship bracelets” – something I haven’t worn in a long time. Margaret, as a lyrical genius, devoted meaning to each charm. My personal favorite, the star charm, represents the Shakespeare quote from Julius Caesar, “The Fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars, but in ourselves.”
Today’s stops included Wesley’s Chapel, Speakers’ Corner, and brunch at Sixty One. Running through the underground tube may not be a gift of mine, but I’m learning. The cool temps required a little something extra – not your typical summer sweater – for our church service this morning. We also learned that heels might not be your best bet on the underground.
First, let me start off by saying that everyone MUST try the new cookie popsicles at Steel City Pops – my life is now changed after the brownie and chocolate combo. Moving on to more important things, I am obsessed with these espadrilles. After receiving them as a gift, I’ve walked through Fall, Winter, Spring, and will carry them into Summer. I love this casual look and will definitely be sporting this while studying in London.
