From rolled ice cream to chocolate peanut butter mousse, my sweet tooth was constant. I can easily say the tastiest things we put in our mouths over the past two months were the deserts. Here are a couple of our favorite spots!
Sundaes and Cones was by far the most delicious ice cream Margaret or I had ever tasted. Needless to say we made a couple of trips back, and lucky for us, it was only a block away from where we lived.
Levain Bakery was also a must on our NYC bucket list. The trip up the West Side was well worth a cookie the size of a muffin and the gooey chocolate chips covering my face.
Okay, I knew I liked milkshakes but mercy… This was the most uniquely dressed (and expensive) milkshake I’ve ever had. The chocolate ice cream was topped with Oreos, brownies, chocolate chips, whipped cream and chocolate syrup. The 45 minute wait outside was completely worth it. So, you must check out Black Tap the next time you’re in the city.
All I can say is that at Beauty and Essex, rose is served in the ladies bathroom. The unique pawn shop entry and bumpin’ music didn’t disappoint either. This restaurant is perfect for lunch, dinner or dessert.
We had to make our way to Big Gay Ice Cream to see what all the hype is about. Apparently, they serve some of the greatest soft serve ice cream out there, and we must agree… Margaret’s choice included caramel and a nutella lined cone.
