You know I gravitate toward red and blue with SMU games in mind. When I saw this dress, I knew it would be great for football games (crossing my fingers those still happen) with a pair of booties and a denim jacket. I’ll wear it all summer with sandals and wedges too. I found these wedges in my closet from high school, a treasure! Both the dress and the wedges were purchased locally, so I don’t have links. Above you’ll find similar options!

Happy Friday! XX, MS

Last week was a crazy one! Parties, events, games, work… Things are really picking as Christmas quickly approaches! This is my favorite time of the year, and I’ve been enjoying it. With that, blogging doesn’t always get done. Today I’m highlighting an outfit that I wore to the SMU vs Memphis football game about a month ago and just recently when I was back home for Thanksgiving.

I hope you have a happy Monday and gathered a little fashion inspiration!

Camo + Stripes

Typically, I would style this type of skirt with something a little more predictable… Most likely a white ruffled blouse or a crisp white button down. Yesterday, I decided to switch things up and do a little pattern mixing. Because I don’t have an endless budget for clothes and shoes, I get creative with what I have! Make something old feel new! Honestly, I have a lot of fun doing this, and I suppose it makes sense why I’m in the job I’m in. I challenge you to look at the clothes in your closet and create new outfits from items you already have. Feel free to reach out if you need help styling!!

Go-to Combo

IMG_4852

| tee | shorts | headband | sandals |

This has been my go-to look this summer! Whether I’m hanging with Henry, running errands or traveling, this has been an easy and comfortable look to put together. You can wear this tee year round too, and get excited because camo is a trend for fall! I’m still loving the headband trend for many reasons, but it most importantly keeps my hair out of my face.

Every single one of these pieces will be a staple for you and pair back to a lot of what you already have in your wardrobe! You can’t go wrong with denim shorts, a cotton tee and a solid headband!

The Camo Puffer Vest

| tee (other) | vest | jeans | sneakers |

This camo vest was a staple for me this fall and winter. I love that it covers my bum and adds a little something to an all black work out look. Here I styled it with a basic white tee and distressed jeans as we head into spring. An otherwise simple look was completed with this third piece. I think I’ll pair it back to white jeans and a button down too.

I try to style my outfits based on the rule of thirds. Top off any look with a scarf, statement earring or some sort of outerwear to pull together an outfit. Check out these blog posts where I used the rule of thirds: 1, 2, 3, 4!

Thanks for stopping by!!
