I’ve linked some that I own and some that are on my wishlist. The prices are really good on many of these too, so be sure to check them out! Also, many come in a variety of colors, so if you like the style but not the color way, there’s most likely another choice.
This is what I wear when it’s 80 degrees in November – YES you read that right. It pains me to wear a summery blouse this far into the fall, so I styled this lightweight cotton sweater with my go-to boyfriend jean shorts and my favorite new booties.
This sweater comes in over 10 colors, so you’ll be able to fill just about any gap you may have in your wardrobe! The slightly cropped length is perfect for front tucking, my number one styling tip, which was a huge plus, too. I also CAN’T STAND an itchy sweater, and because this sweater is 100% cotton, you can wear it all day without your skin reacting. I can’t forget to mention the amazing price, $78! Overall, I give this sweater an 11/10 and think it would be the perfect addition to your fall wardrobe!! Can you tell this is my new favorite sweater?!
Hope you have a great week! XO, MS
I loving mixing textures and patterns, and in the fall, it’s so much easier to do this! We are naturally wearing many layers with more ways to mix and match.
These booties were a fan favorite last year, so the designer released them again this year – you’re in luck! I’m on my feet most of the day, and these pass the all day comfort test!! Super important in my book as I’m sure in yours. This dress is a new piece I picked up recently from an unexpected retailer. I decided to play with texture and color and layered this fur vest on top!
What unexpected combos can you create this week?! Combining different textures and patterns add interest to any look.
Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you had a fun Halloween weekend!
You know I can’t turn down a good ruffle, and on top of that, this dress reminds me of a Sea New York piece but for a third of the price! This is a great dress to wear now through the fall but to bring back out for spring and summer. The sleeves, fabric and color make it a versatile piece!
You also need to check out my fabulous new earrings by Hazen & Co! These earrings are another piece that can be dressed up and down and worn all year long. I find myself investing in items that I can get the most mileage out of, and these earrings are definitely worth the investment! Not to mention the designer and owner of Hazen is the most wonderful human.
Thanks for reading! XO, Mary Sanford
An easy way to transition your wardrobe from winter to spring is by pairing your favorite sweaters with your go-to white jeans. White jeans brighten up any look especially on a cold dreary day. Keep things simple with a bootie or add a pop of color like I did with a bright loafer. Spring and summer clothes are my favorite pieces to buy and wear, so any chance I get to pull them out, I do!
The weird things I do when I feel awkward taking photos…
I couldn’t decide if I liked this outfit with or without the headband, so I shot both. What do y’all think? My mom told me it wasn’t necessary for me to wear a headband everyday (haha), so I’ve tried to mix things up over the last few weeks. She likes them, so this isn’t a dig at her! Last week I think I only wore a headband twice – that’s big for me. As you’ve seen over the last 8 months, they’ve become quite a staple in my wardrobe. Not only are they cute, but they also keep my hair out of my eyes while still being able to wear it down. Something that is hard to master when you have a lot of hair like me… What do y’all think? Should I take a break from headbands?
I get cold pretty easily, so instead of breaking out these booties in the 30 degree temperature (that we don’t have often), these suckers make a statement when it’s 60 degrees. Dress them down with your leggings and puffy coat or up with a relaxed midi dress. What I’m trying to say is, don’t save these booties for the snow! There are way too many ways to wear them!!
I love to layer a sweater over a button down – something I do in my wardrobe often and for many of my clients too. It’s classic, but when you mix and match colors and textures, it can become more modern. Try layering different pieces in your closet! Remember, they don’t have to match, they just have to go.
Hope everyone had a great weekend! I’m keeping today’s look neutral with brown, black and white. There is something so classic about this combo. Something that won’t go out of style, yet I made it trendy with the headband, the teddy coat and the croc booties.

Happy Monday friends! I’m back to reality – work, cleaner eating and exercise. I definitely indulged while I was home, and now it’s time to start 2020 with a bang… a few days late. Today I want to share this plaid jacket that sweet Santa gave to me. I found this early on last season, but the price tag was a little steep. A few major sales made this possible! I paired it with some wardrobe staples to make the jacket the statement of the outfit. You can get it on sale too, but make sure you order it a size or two down!
