Friday Finds

I’ve been meaning to share some of my favorite beauty products with you, and there’s no time like the present. I started using the Charlotte Tilbury line about a year ago, and I love it! My first product was recommended to me by a friend, a friend much wiser in the beauty product department, and now I’m hooked. Below I listed the products I use plus the ones I want to try.

The Unisex Healthy Glow is the best tinted moisturizer. I love that it gives you a fresh tan year round without feeling like you’ve caked on makeup. I like to wear few products, and this is the perfect base.

Next, I add the Beach Stick (color: Las Salinas) to my cheeks and lips for a rosy look. This is summer in a stick! This product is great for travel because no brush is required. Keep one in your purse for on-the-go touch-ups too!

Lastly I use the Colour-Coded Eyeshadow Palette (palette: The Golden Goddess or The Uptown Girl) to get a light shimmer or a smokey eye. Once again these are great sizes to throw in your carryon bag for a week of traveling. They go day to night so well.

There are a few Charlotte Tilbury products that I want to add to my beauty routine: the Perfecting Powder, the Light Wand, the Full Fat Lashes Mascara and the Cheek to Chic Blush. If you’ve tried them, let me know what you think!

Thanks for stopping by!

Must Try Products

I’ve never spent a lot of money on cosmetics. I use Bobbi Brown tinted moisturizer, Maybelline eyeliner and mascara, Nars blush and BH Cosmetics eyeshadows that were given to me. I use Cetaphil face wash and Olay quench lotion, so I guess you could say I have a pretty boring beauty routine.

My friends use lots of lotions and potions, and I’m always intrigued by what they use. Among other things, my roommate uses a combination of Vitamin E oil and almond oil to hold in the moisture on her body in lieu of moisturizing creams. Another friend uses Revision anti-aging night cream which has collagen that plumps your skin to make you look young and supple.

I’ve made a list of products that I want to try in the new year. Maybe they will make me more adult-like as I transition into the real world.

Cosmetics to try:

  1. Revision eye night cream
  2. Essie gel polish
  3. Mudslide Hair mask by DryBar
  4. Lash extensions
  5. St. Tropez mousse  with mitt
