A Neutral Look

When I think of summer outfits, I usually think of bright colors and patterns, but every once and awhile it’s nice to break out a more neutral look. I love this dress because while you can wear it now, you can also wear it this fall with cognac booties and a denim jacket or moto jacket.

My mom bought this dress for herself, but lucky for me, it didn’t work for her. You can snag it on sale using the link above!

I hope you have a great weekend!! XO, MS

Headband or no headband? That is the question.

I couldn’t decide if I liked this outfit with or without the headband, so I shot both. What do y’all think? My mom told me it wasn’t necessary for me to wear a headband everyday (haha), so I’ve tried to mix things up over the last few weeks. She likes them, so this isn’t a dig at her! Last week I think I only wore a headband twice – that’s big for me. As you’ve seen over the last 8 months, they’ve become quite a staple in my wardrobe. Not only are they cute, but they also keep my hair out of my eyes while still being able to wear it down. Something that is hard to master when you have a lot of hair like me… What do y’all think? Should I take a break from headbands?

Friday Finds: Bodysuits

Happy Friday, y’all! This week I’m highlighting the ease of a bodysuit because they can make an outfit look more seamless and put together. Of course, it can make going to the bathroom a little difficult as well if it doesn’t have snaps. I styled this one shoulder bodysuit with this high waisted skirt, so I didn’t have to worry about keeping a t-shirt tucked in. Everything stayed in its place all day long – no readjusting needed after an hour sitting at my desk. This look can also go day to night if I lose the loafer and denim jacket and add a heel.

Below, I’ve linked other bodysuits that can be paired with high waisted jeans, flirty skirts and your favorite paper bag shorts.

Lace Everything

I’ve found myself being drawn to neutrals this spring – from my new espadrilles, to sundresses and statement earrings. I picked up this top and skirt from consignment stores in Dallas and Miami. Y’all know how much I love consignment shopping and the thrill I get from a deal! The top and skirt originally retailed for around $700 together, but I paid $175 for the look. I’ll give myself a pat on the back for that one :). The top I’ve already worn a handful of times with jeans and shorts. I’ll continue to keep it in my rotation this spring and summer, and I’m excited to style this skirt in other ways too!

Thanks for stopping by! I’ve linked my exact skirt above. Below I’ve added some other skirts with greater size runs, so you can recreate my look! Many on SALE!!!

Blue and white stripe dresses

I’ve worn my fare share of blue and white stripes in my 24 years, but this dress is by far my favorite! I got this dress for Christmas (great job, mama) and have been itching to wear it ever since. My recent trip to Miami was the perfect time to break this lovely lady out. Unfortunately, it’s nowhere to be found online, so instead I linked some equally as pretty blue and white stripe dress options.

Here are some of my other blue and white stripe moments: 1, 2, 3, 4.

Thanks for stopping by!!

It’s Friday again, and I’m here to share some of my favorite things with you.

Headboard

This is the headboard I just purchased for my new apartment! I love the French detail and the neutral colors that can be paired with anything. This is something I hope to have for years. Checkout One Kings Lane for all your home needs.

Sugarfina

I’m obsessed with Sugarfina candies. They sell unique flavors from all over the world in the cutest lucite boxes. I received the “Rose All Day” gift set (pictured above) in my Easter basket, and they were absolutely delicious. Sugarfina has many gift sets, perfect for Mother’s Day. The company even has a promo code online if you purchase for your mom.

I love the feminine dresses by Alexis. The line combines cutouts with ruffles and lace – definitely a unique combo. Take a look at their new spring collection!

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Red Dress, Favorite Dress

This might have to be my favorite dress I own. I love the details incorporated from the ruffled shoulder to the built-in choker. Unfortunately, this designer, Alexis, is typically on the pricier end, but you’re in luck! I found similar options on Rent the Runway and on the Outnet. These would be perfect for a wedding or a night out.

Also, happy 2nd birthday to the blog! I’ve loved every second of sharing my favorite pieces with you all!
