This dress style isn’t usually my go-to for whatever reason, but I couldn’t resist this denim number! I dressed it up Saturday night with these wedges and flower earrings for a friend’s birthday celebration, but I will also pair it with strappy sandals and a ponytail for a casual summer day. It’s not everyday a crop top is appropriate, but I decided a night out with the girls would be a fun time to break this one out. I styled it with my go-to white jeans and matching sandals. Unfortunately, I can’t find this exact top online, but I did find it in a few other patterns! How do you feel about crop tops? I always pair them with high waisted jeans, shorts or skirts to minimize the tummy exposure!

I’ve had such a hard time finding denim shorts that don’t suffocate my thighs, are comfortable, and don’t let my booty hang out. It’s a bonus if they are high waisted, and these check all the boxes! Ruffled skirts are feminine, fun and perfect for the summer heat! I found this one at a local Dallas consignment store, so I linked other ruffled perfections instead! I can dress this skirt up with a silk blouse and these gold heels or dress it down with a white tee and sneakers.

I hope you had a great weekend! I was back in Memphis for a few days with extended family, and we had a blast. After celebrating the life of my great aunt, we were able to enjoy time with cousins, aunts and uncles and grandparents. Circumstances weren’t ideal, but it was special being with people we don’t see often.

We celebrated our dear friend, Tegan, Wednesday who is headed off to Chicago to earn her MBA from Northwestern! GO girl! Kellogg is lucky to have you. I am loving the unique and colorful pattern of this dress – it just makes me smile! Henry and I went to a casual birthday party Saturday night in Houston, and this was the perfect outfit for an outdoor hangout. I forgot just how hot Texas summers are! The night was filled with cake, corn hole and downtown views, and the perfect start to the summer.
I will definitely elevate this dress with these gold heels and a clutch for a fancier summer party or date night.

This might be my favorite dress of the summer! It’s extremely lightweight and flowy – perfect for those crazy hot days ahead. The ruffled shoulder and collar plus the bright pattern make me so happy. I’ll wear it with sneakers, wedges and sandals depending on the day.

I wish I had available space in my apartment because one of these bad boys would be coming home with me! Numbers 1 and 11 are my favorites, but you can’t go wrong with any of these neutral pieces. Especially since they are all under $500! Add a bright patterned pillow, and these are ready to be enjoyed. Shoutout to Target for these fabulous furniture finds!

Okay so we got this tie dye sweatshirt in at work and I just had to… Last week I said I was going to try to keep my tie dye purchases to a minimum, and I’ve already failed! This sweatshirt is SUPER cozy and the perfect cropped length for high waisted shorts and jeans. Unfortunately, I can’t find this exact one online, so I’ve linked similar options.
